Military Temple of the Holy Right Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky

The military church of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky is an Orthodox church in Pskov.

The temple was built in 14 months and consecrated in 1908. During the October Revolution, and then during the Civil War, the temple suffered and fell into decay. Later, thanks to the intercession and assistance of Archbishop Eusebius and Theor Oleg, the church was restored and returned to the people.

A publishing house operates under the church of Alexander Nevsky. In 2001, it released a selection of poems dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the Sixth Pskov Airborne Company. Here, portraits of the dead soldiers of the airborne forces of Pskov, as well as other soldiers of Russia, who became victims of the first and second Chechen companies, were restored.

Now there is a library in the church, which presents unique copies of the gramophone records of the chants of the church choirs of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Archpriest Oleg made a great contribution to the development of the library. The collection of the library contains the "Old Testament" with personal notes of Sovereign Nicholas II, cassock John of Krondstatsky and Bozhnitsa, who arrived from St. Petersburg. A special place is occupied by the image of the Virgin, the face of Christ the miraculous, the image of the Virgin of Kazan, etc.
